The article deals with the revival of the conditions of economic development of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to systematize and disclose historical and economic preconditions of economic development, to study the types of models of economic development, and on this basis, to withdraw the concept of homeostatic development of the national economic system in modern conditions. In the process of writing this study, the following methods of research and analysis of economic processes have been used: the justification of categorical apparatus - the method of scientific abstraction; in determining the laws of the genesis of the theories of economic equilibrium - the dialectical method, in the study of scientific approaches to the classification of types of economic equilibrium - analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction; during the dating phase of economic cycles - economic and mathematical modeling. It has been determined that the real revival of the economy of Ukraine will take place only after targeted and conscious focusing on its national identity, which means a return to the best historical traditions that have developed in their time of national economic models and economic thought. It has been witnessed that in order to bridge the gap and reach the forefront of social and economic development in a highly competitive world it is not necessary to repeat and duplicate algorithms (sequence of steps) of technological progress, faced by the countries-leaders, and should focus more on the abrupt social economic breakthrough, based on the lessons and processing experience that has been gained (technical-technological, social, organizational, political, etc.). Crucial historical and economic foundation in the selection of the model of the national economic system has been proved. The thesis that the only thing that can save the integrity of the state and the economy in a protracted all-aspect crisis - the transition to a national path of economic development, a careful consideration of its traditions, the revival of national consciousness of the people - has been argumented. "Outgo" is almost never determined "to move in the same way" as the country-samples (leaders), but be sure to understand as "the best way to move", which means the requirement to move in the proper direction. Choosing a strategy of overtaking modernization means not only the countries’ loss of own international position in a globalized world, but also the refusal to choose its own guidelines development. Therefore, the primary task on the way to solve this problem is a clear awareness of the fallibility of the course and the market transformation and transition to innovative modernization, which will allow finding own path of development. Scientific novelty of the research is to justify the need to develop a national model of economic growth based on historical aspects and economic conditions. That is, the search for a national economic system of the state, which would provide an appropriate level of development - in the form of a movement to perfection. According to the results of scientific studies it has been established that a prerequisite of successful development of the national economic system is to develop a model of homeostasis of the national economic system. Prospects for further research is the need for a systematic study of the theory of economics, which is associated with the need to set priorities, trends and patterns of development of the Ukrainian economy. After all, the contradictory processes of economic development of Ukraine and the crisis phenomena that accompany the formation of the domestic market economy, point to the need to improve the scientific and methodological and practical problems of the national economy.
