Intellectual Capital as a Factor of Innovation

Abstract

The concept of intellectual capital has been highlighted in the scientific work. The leading «core» of national system of intellectual capital formatio is the science (as a set of scientific establishments), education (as a combination of higher educational institutions, engaged in research, innovation and implementing activities), innovative businesses (i.e. businesses that actually produce and implement innovation and on this basis produce innovative products and services). The purpose of the article is to present the results of research on the formation and use of the intellectual capital of the company General scientific and specific knowledge of methods and techniques of economic phenomena and processes have been used in the study: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, methods of statistical analysis, the method of expert opinions, and other comparison methods. It is noted that the key economic (commercial) success is now effective investment in human capital, producing new knowledge, production and implementation of recourse saving technologies. In such conditions, the main source of growth is the cost of an effective system of formation and use of intellectual capital. It is noted that a complex methodological problem is the evaluation of the formation and use of intellectual capital in the national economy, as statistics summarizes relevant data and not publish. The expediency of intellectual capital use on the basis of analysis of innovative activity has been justified in the scientific work. The analytical data on trends in innovation activity have been presented. Fall in innovation activity is due to the lack of motivation to development and innovation, as well as ignoring the actual management industry requirements for accounting and monitoring of innovation. Establishment of an integrated system to support playback of intellectual capital should be built based on the capabilities of the national innovation system. As part of the state innovation policy measures should be taken to achieve high performance of national innovation system. The perspective of innovation and scientific and technological activities have been determined. One of the main tasks of the modern state of economic policy is the development and implementation of measures to accelerate the development of high-tech industries.
